Who we are

What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you email an observation or correction, we receive your email address, any name you include and the content of your message.
- Contact tool. The observation tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us unless you choose to email it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and to keep the site running.
Why and on what basis
We process email submissions to review, publish and credit observations and to reply where appropriate, based on our legitimate interest in running an accurate fan publication. Server logs are processed under our legitimate interest in security. Where consent is required, for example for non-essential cookies, we ask for it first.
How long we keep it
Submissions are kept for up to 24 months, or longer if published and credited. Server logs are typically kept for no more than 30 days.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who host the site or email on our behalf, under contract, or where required by law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your data, object to processing, and request portability. Email us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
